Swift Observations of GRB 150402A

J.R. Cummings (CPI) and M. De Pasquale (INAF-IASF Palermo) for the Swift team

1. Introduction

At 00:37:46 Swift-BAT triggered on GRB 150402A (trigger# 636865) (Cummings and Palmer GCN Circ. 17661). Table 1 contains the best reported positions from Swift.

Table 2 is a summary of GCN Circulars about this GRB from observatories other than Swift.

Standard analysis products for this burst are available at http://gcn.gsfc.nasa.gov/swift_gnd_ana.html.

2. BAT Observations and Analysis

The lightcurve (Figure 1) shows two symmetrical peaks, each about 5 seconds long, the second harder and brighter. The counting rate in BAT of the brighter peak was about 1500 counts s-1. T90 was about 14 ± 2 seconds.

3. XRT Observations and Analysis

XRT results are not available.

4. UVOT Observations and Analysis

UVOT results are not available.
