Swift Observations of GRB 150530B

J.R. Cummings (CPI) and P. D'Avanzo (INAF-OAB) for the Swift team

1. Introduction

At 13:28:38 during a preplanned Swift slew, GRB 150530B caused a rate increase in Swift-BAT (Cummings and Palmer GCN Circ. 17895). Table 1 contains the best reported positions from Swift.

Table 2 is a summary of GCN Circulars about this GRB from observatories other than Swift.

2. BAT Observations and Analysis

The best fit to the spectrum from 15-150 keV is a simple power law with a photon index of 1.7 ± 0.2. The fluence in 2 seconds was (1.25 ± 0.2) x 10-7 ergs/cm2. This fluence is larger than that of 2.7% of the long GRBs in the Second BAT GRB Catalog (Sakamoto et al. 2011). The uncertainties quoted are estimated 90% confidence.
