At 18:35:42 UT, the Swift Burst Alert Telescope (BAT) triggered and
located GRB 231216 ***A*** (trigger=1202749). Swift slewed immediately to the burst.
The BAT on-board calculated location is
RA, Dec 39.759, +33.596 which is
RA(J2000) = 02h 39m 02s
Dec(J2000) = +33d 35' 45"
with an uncertainty of 3 arcmin (radius, 90% containment, including
systematic uncertainty). The BAT light curve showed a [**double-peaked**]
structure with a duration of about TTT sec. The peak count rate
was ~2578 counts/sec (15-350 keV), at ~0 sec after the trigger.
