At 20:27:59 UT, the Swift Burst Alert Telescope (BAT) triggered and
located GRB 160609 ***A*** (trigger=690197). Swift slewed immediately to the burst.
The BAT on-board calculated location is
RA, Dec 266.391, -28.980 which is
RA(J2000) = 17h 45m 34s
Dec(J2000) = -28d 58' 48"
with an uncertainty of 3 arcmin (radius, 90% containment, including
systematic uncertainty). The BAT light curve showed a [**double-peaked**]
structure with a duration of about TTT sec. The peak count rate
was ~1671 counts/sec (15-350 keV), at ~2 sec after the trigger.
