Swift Observations of GRB 130518B

J.R. Cummings (UMBC/CRESST/GSFC) and B. Sbarufatti (INAF-OAB/PSU) for the Swift team

1. Introduction

At 10:50:38 UTC, Swift-BAT triggered on GRB 130418A (trigger # 556105) (Cummings GCN Circ. 14682). A sub-threshold source was found onboard. Table 1 contains the best reported positions from Swift.

Table 2 is a summary of GCN Circulars about this GRB from observatories other than Swift.

Standard analysis products for this burst are available at http://gcn.gsfc.nasa.gov/swift_gnd_ana.html.

2. BAT Observations and Analysis

The results of the batgrbproduct analysis are available at http://gcn.gsfc.nasa.gov/notices_s/556105/BA/.

3. XRT Observations and Analysis

We have analysed xx ks of XRT data for the Swift/BAT-detected burst: GRB 130518B, from 0 s to 0 s after the Swift/BAT trigger. The data are entirely in Photon Counting (PC) mode. We cannot determine at the present time whether the source is fading.

The results of the XRT team automatic analysis are available at http://www.swift.ac.uk/xrt_products/00020282.

4. UVOT Observations and Analysis

UVOT results are not available.
