Swift Observations of GRB 150710B

J.R. Cummings (CPI) and A. Melandri (INAF-OAB) for the Swift team

1. Introduction

At 08:05:35, the bright GRB 150710B was observed by Swift/BAT during a preplanned Swiftslew (Cummings et al. GCN Circ. 18009). Table 1 contains the best reported positions from Swift.

Table 2 is a summary of GCN Circulars about this GRB from observatories other than Swift.

2. BAT Observations and Analysis

The burst had an estimated T90 of about 16 seconds. There were multiple bright peaks and an exponential decay.

3. XRT Observations and Analysis

XRT results are not available.

4. UVOT Observations and Analysis

Analysis of the UVOT data was reported by Melandri et al. (GCN Circ. 18018). Simultaneous with the Swift-XRT, the Swift-UVOT observed the field of GRB 150710B. Preliminary 3-sigma upper limits using the UVOT photometric system (Breeveld et al. 2011, AIP Conf. Proc. 1358, 373) for the first finding chart (FC) exposure and subsequent exposures are: Table 3 gives preliminary magnitudes using the UVOT photometric system (Breeveld et al. 2011, AIP Conf. Proc., 1358, 373). No correction has been made for the expected extinction in the Milky Way corresponding to a reddening of EB-V of 0.04 mag. in the direction of the GRB (Schlegel et al. 1998).
