Swift Observations of GRB 200412B

K.L. Page (U. Leicester) and B. Sbarufatti (PSU) for the Swift team

1. Introduction

Longo et al. (GCN Circ. 27557) reported the GRB detection. Table 1 contains the best reported positions from Swift.

Table 2 is a summary of GCN Circulars about this GRB from observatories other than Swift.

2. BAT Observations and Analysis

BAT did not observe this burst.

3. XRT Observations and Analysis

Analysis of the initial XRT data was reported by Sbarufatti et al. (GCN Circ. 27600).

XRT data now comprise 6.1 ks of Photon Counting data covering times from T+20 ks to T+370 ks.

The light curve (Figure 2) is best fit by a power-law with decay index 1.6 ± 0.3. We thus confirm that this is indeed the afterglow of GRB 200412B. The latest results can be viewed via: https://www.swift.ac.uk/xrt_curves/00020981/

4. UVOT Observations and Analysis

UVOT results are not available.

Figure 1. The BAT light curve is not available.
