S.B. Cenko (GSFC) for the Swift team
At 11:54:30 UT, the Swift Burst Alert Telescope (BAT) triggered and located GRB 220404A (trigger=1101133) (Cenko et al. GCN Circ. 31828). Due to an observing constraint, Swift did not slew immediately to the burst. At the time of the trigger, the initial BAT position was 37° from the Sun (2.5 hours East) and 8° from the 10%-illuminated Moon. Table 1 contains the best reported positions from Swift.

As reported by Markwardt et al. (GCN Circ. 31838),
the BAT ground-calculated position is RA, Dec = 50.413, 10.001 deg which is RA(J2000) = 0

The time-averaged spectrum from T+0.26 to T+2.98 s is best fit by a simple power-law model.
The power law index of the time-averaged spectrum is 1.90 ± 0.36.
The fluence in the 15-150 keV band is 1.4 ± 0.3 x 1
