A. Breeveld (UCL-MSSL) and C. Salvaggio (INAF-OAB) report on behalf of the Swift/UVOT team: The Swift/UVOT began settled observations of the field of GRB 241127A 484 s after the BAT trigger (Salvaggio et al., GCN Circ. 38354). No optical afterglow consistent with the XRT position *** POSITION REFERENCE is GCN_Circulars-38354 *** is detected in the initial UVOT exposures. Preliminary 3-sigma upper limits using the UVOT photometric system (Breeveld et al. 2011, AIP Conf. Proc. 1358, 373) for the first finding chart (FC) exposure and subsequent exposures are: Filter T_start(s) T_stop(s) Exp(s) Mag white_FC 484 634 147 >17.0 white 484 634 147 >17.0 The magnitudes in the table are not corrected for the Galactic extinction due to the reddening of E(B-V) = 0.034 in the direction of the burst (Schlegel et al. 1998). =========== Draft Detection Circular ======== GRB 241127A: Swift/UVOT Detection A. 38354). A source consistent with the XRT position *** POSITION REFERENCE is GCN_Circulars-38354 *** is detected in the initial UVOT exposures. The preliminary UVOT position is: RA (J2000) = 21:51:32.37 = 327.88486 (deg.) Dec (J2000) = -56:39:55.3 = -56.66535 (deg.) with an estimated uncertainty of 0.43 arc sec. (radius, 90% confidence). Preliminary detections using the UVOT photometric system (Breeveld et al. 2011, AIP Conf. Proc. 1358, 373) for the early exposures are: Filter T_start(s) T_stop(s) Exp(s) Mag white 484 634 147 17.04 +/- 0.03 The magnitudes in the table are not corrected for the Galactic extinction due to the reddening of E(B-V) = 0.034 in the direction of the burst (Schlegel et al. 1998).
