report on behalf of the Swift/UVOT team:

The Swift/UVOT began settled observations of the field of GRB 241209D
3548 s after the BAT trigger (Parsotan et al., GCN Circ. 38489).
No optical afterglow consistent with the XRT position
*** POSITION REFERENCE is GCN_Circulars-38491 ***
is detected in the initial UVOT exposures.
Preliminary 3-sigma upper limits using the UVOT photometric system
(Breeveld et al. 2011, AIP Conf. Proc. 1358, 373) for the first
finding chart (FC) exposure and subsequent exposures are:

report on behalf of the Swift/UVOT team:

The Swift/UVOT began settled observations of the field of GRB 241209D
3548 s after the BAT trigger (Parsotan et al., GCN Circ. 38489).
A source consistent with the XRT position
*** POSITION REFERENCE is GCN_Circulars-38491 ***
is detected in the initial UVOT exposures.

The preliminary UVOT position is:
    RA  (J2000) =  12:40:26.90 = 190.11207 (deg.)
    Dec (J2000) = -02:53:28.6  =  -2.89128 (deg.)
with an estimated uncertainty of 0.62 arc sec. (radius, 90% confidence).

Preliminary detections and 3-sigma upper limits using the UVOT photometric system
(Breeveld et al. 2011, AIP Conf. Proc. 1358, 373) for the early exposures are:
