Emery (UCL-MSSL) and A. P. Beardmore (U. Leicester) report on behalf of the Swift/UVOT team: The Swift/UVOT began settled observations of the field of GRB 190219A 110 s after the BAT trigger (Beardmore et al., GCN Circ. 23902). No optical afterglow consistent with the XRT position (Beardmore et al. GCN Circ. 23907) is detected in the initial UVOT exposures. Preliminary 3-sigma upper limits using the UVOT photometric system (Breeveld et al. 2011, AIP Conf. Proc. 1358, 373) for the first finding chart (FC) exposure and subsequent exposures are: Filter T_start(s) T_stop(s) Exp(s) Mag white_FC 110 259 147 >20.9 u_FC 268 517 246 >20.3 white 110 7012 805 >21.6 v 598 7423 529 >19.3 b 523 13304 933 >20.2 u 268 12864 1463 >20.9 w1 647 11951 1218 >20.7 m2 622 7570 434 >19.7 w2 573 7218 510 >20.2 The magnitudes in the table are not corrected for the Galactic extinction due to the reddening of E(B-V) = 0.03 in the direction of the burst (Schlegel et al. 1998). =========== Draft Detection Circular ======== GRB 190219A: Swift/UVOT Detection S.W.K.
