At 18:07:16 UT, Swift-BAT triggered and located GRB 051227 (trigger=174738).
The spacecraft slewed immediately. The BAT on-board calculated location is
RA,Dec 125.270d,+31.929d {08h 21m 05s,+31d 55' 44"} (J2000), with an uncertainty
of 3 arcmin (radius, 90% containment, stat+sys). The BAT light curve shows
a multi-peak structure with a total duration of at least 8 sec. The peak count
rate was ~3500 counts/sec (15-350 keV), at 0 seconds after the trigger.

At 20:03:20 UT, Swift-BAT triggered and located a source (trigger=173904).
The spacecraft slewed promptly after the end of the image trigger.
The BAT on-board calculated location is RA,Dec 312.395d,+53.054d
{20h 49m 35s,+53d 03' 14"} (J2000), with an uncertainty of 3 arcmin
(radius, 90% containment, stat+sys). All we have at this time is
the TDRSS lightcurve. This plus the fact that this is a 192-sec
image trigger means that we can not say if this trigger is due to a real GRB,
a hard x-ray transient, or a noise event. We note that the galactic
latitude is 6 deg.

a single bright short peak at T0 with a duration less than 128 msec

decay lasting ~3 sec. The peak count rate was ~70,000 counts/sec (15-350 keV),

At 07:13:04 UT, Swift-BAT triggered and located GRB 051213 (trigger=172516).
The BAT on-board calculated location is RA,Dec 252.123d,-59.207d
{16h 48m 29s,-59d 12' 25"} (J2000), with an uncertainty of 3 arcmin
(radius, 90% containment, stat+sys). The spacecraft did not slew
because of the Sun observing constraint. The location is 36 deg from the Sun,
and it will not be observable by Swift NFIs for at least three weeks.
This was a 64-sec image trigger with a 9-sigma significance in the image domain.
The BAT lightcurve shows hints of emission, but it is not possible
to separate source variations from background variations in the rate domain.
The full data set from the next Malindi downlinks in a few hours
will allow the separation of source from background.

At 15:44:37 UT, the Swift Burst Alert Telescope (BAT) triggered and
located on-board GRB 050318. The spacecraft did not automatically slew

that we just started the approximate 6-hour gap in telemetry downlink orbits,
so it will be ~7 hours before we get the full data set on this burst
and can say anything more than what is available from the real-time
TDRSS messages.

Using the time interval of the trigger of the burst (0.5 sec),
the ground-calculated location is RA,Dec 49.651,-46.392 (J2000)

The BAT instrument on Swift triggered at 02:15:28 and at 02:33:12 UT 15 Feb 05,
triggers 106106 and 106107, respectively. We have done preliminary analysis
on the ground using the TDRSS messages and the initial portions of the data
from a telemetry downlink.

report on behalf of the Swift XRT team:

The Swift BAT instrument detected an apparent burst at 04:20:04 UT on 2005
January 28. The spacecraft initiated a prompt automated slew and
observation sequence. The XRT began taking data on the burst at 2005-01-28
04:23:51 and continued until 2005-01-28 05:55:27. The XRT was in Photon
Counting mode performing calibration observations of PG1311+129 when the
burst occurred, and continued to collect data in Photon Counting mode
during the slew and after settling onto the BAT field. As a result, no
prompt XRT position was reported to the ground. However, analysis of the
XRT data shows a bright, rapidly fading point source at:

RA(J2000): 14 38 17.87
DEC(J2000): -34 45 56.6

The Swift XRT instrument reports a preliminary position for GRB
050126. The BAT detected this burst at 12:00:53 UT on January 26,
2005. The S/C slewed to the burst immediately. The XRT was in Manual
State taking calibration observations of Mkn 876 in PC mode at the time of
the slew. We settled on the BAT position at 12:03:04 and immediately began
taking data in PC mode until 12:07:42, when we entered the South Atlantic
Anomaly. During this four minute period the XRT detected a very bright and
rapidly fading X-ray source. The initial position, based on the raw image
data with no correction for stellar aberration, is:

RA(J2000) = 18:32:25.8
Dec(J2000) = +42:22:0.4.

At 11:30:03 UT, the Swift Burst Alert Telescope (BAT) triggered and
located on-board GRB050124. The spacecraft did not autonomously slew
to the burst because automatic operations were disabled for weekend
operations. The spacecraft will be repointed via a Target of
Opportunity command.
